Layer Cake is a stylized classic brit gangster film loosely based on a novel of the same title. Stars Daniel Craig, the current 007 James Bond, and the smoking hot Sienna Miller.

I watched this film out of boredom and surprise, surprise, it was pretty good, save for the ant small 7″ screen of my temporary substitute notebook. Yes, my own notebook died on me today after suffering for the last few weeks from acute hard disk failure.

Back to Layer Cake. This film was released in 2004 and following that in 2005, he also got a minor role in the film, Munich. In 2006, Daniel Craig got his big break and starred in Casino Royale, as 007.

Now, I can see why Daniel Craig was chosen as James Bond. His authentic British accent/ethnicity coupled with great character depth and true blue eyes scored him the role. He will reprise his role as Bond in the Quantum of Solace, the 22nd installment of the spin-off from Ian Fleming’s ingenious invention.

I wouldn’t like to spoil the movie but I have to comment on Sienna Miller. She appears topless in every movie I see her in, and she doesn’t differ in this film. Seeing her from way back, I would imagine her to be in her 30s or so, but well, well, she’s only 27!? That’s crazy.
